- I picked up 'C++, The Complete Reference' by Herbert Schildt this week,
- basically looking for the same type of book as you are, but willing to put
- up with more in the way of explanation and example. It is of considerably
- greater heft than K&R, but much less so than Prata's 'Primer'.

- It appears to meet my needs, but time will tell. It *does* appear to be
- a complete reference, unlike some of the "Learn..." sort of beginner's
- books.
